Private tennis lessons are an integral part of the development of any tennis player.  Tennis is an individual sport and it only makes sense that a tennis player should have some private tennis lessons to facilitate their development.  At the Santa Monica Tennis Center we feel it is important for a developming tennis player of any age or level to find the right balance between private lessons and group instruction.

 

If you are taking  group tennis lessons at the Santa Monica Tennis Center, private lessons with one of our coaches will enhance your clinic experience and vice versa.  While we recommend that players who play at our facility train with a Santa Monica Tennis Center coach, we also work cooperatively with other coaches in the area.

Our expert staff have decades of experience in developing players of all levels.  Our coaches use the latest training techniques and methodologies blended with enthusiasm and a positive communication style. In addition,  our video analysis system gives coaches the ability to analyze and correct your technique.

 

Santa Monica Tennis Center tennis pros hold various certifications from organizations, such as the United States Professional Tennis Association (USPTA), Professional Tennis Registry (PTR) and the United States Tennis Association's (USTA) High Performance Coaching Program.  While our coaches can handle every level of play, some of our coaches specialize in certain areas of player development.   Those specialties are listed below.  You can also view all of our coaches bios on the staff page.

The Santa Monica Tennis Center offers many different tennis lesson programs and services to groups or individuals in the Santa Monica, West Los Angeles, Brentwood and Marina Del Rey. Our tennis lessons are taught by professional coaches to all ages and all skill levels.

Court Time at our main facility for private lessons is not always available.  However, SMTC coaches are able to teach at various public parks in Santa Monica, as well as your own private court.  Please contact us for availability and scheduling of outside courts.
